We are recruiting a Business Unit Technical Manager to support multiple data centre accounts across London and surrounding areas. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in mechanical and electrical maintenance engineering, excellent interpersonal skills, and relevant electrical qualifications, with experience operating in Data Centre environments.
Key Responsibilities
* Ensure critical facilities within Data Centres operate to high standards.
* Act as Senior Authorised Person for HV.
* Conduct root cause analyses and post-problem reviews of technical faults.
* Perform scenario and best drill training with engineering staff.
* Serve as client interface to ensure customer satisfaction and understanding of technical systems and processes.
* Ensure routine maintenance of all building plant, equipment, and systems meets and exceeds expectations and SLAs.
* Plan and deliver plant and system shutdowns and long-term contract works on time.
* Undertake reactive repairs safely and promptly.
* Manage subcontractors, including pricing and quoting for small works.
* Work with permit managers to ensure controls within Permit to Work systems.
* Maintain availability of spares and materials for maintenance.
* Keep comprehensive maintenance records.
* Support statutory compliance and record-keeping for CBRE Quality Management System.
* Prepare Method Statements and Risk Assessments for all tasks.
* Supervise engineering subcontractors to ensure contractual and site compliance.
* Provide a safe and healthy working environment, complying with all policies and procedures.
