I'm working with a leading CNS pharmaceutical company dedicated to transforming the lives of patients living with neurological diseases. With a strong pipeline of innovative therapies, they are now seeking an exceptional Vice President of Clinical Development to lead our global Multiple Sclerosis (MS) clinical strategy and execution.
The Role
As the Vice President of Clinical Development for Multiple Sclerosis, you will be responsible for shaping and driving the clinical development strategy across all stages of MS programs—from early translational studies through to late-stage pivotal trials and regulatory submission. You will provide visionary leadership to a cross-functional team, ensuring scientific rigor, clinical excellence, and patient-cantered design in all programs.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead global clinical development strategy for the MS portfolio, from Phase I–IV.
* Serve as the clinical leader for MS programs, partnering closely with Research, Regulatory Affairs, Clinical Operations, and Commercial functions.
* Design and oversee innovative, data-driven clinical trials that align with regulatory and payer requirements.
* Represent the company with regulatory agencies, key opinion leaders, and strategic partners.
* Provide clinical and scientific expertise in due diligence and business development initiatives.
* Mentor and grow a high-performing clinical team, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability.
* Ensure all clinical programs meet the highest ethical, scientific, and compliance standards.
Qualifications & Experience
* M.D. (Neurology or related specialty strongly preferred)
* 12+ years of clinical development experience in the biopharmaceutical industry, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
* Proven track record leading global development programs in Multiple Sclerosis or other neuroimmunological diseases
* Deep understanding of MS disease biology, current treatment landscape, and regulatory pathways.
* Strong strategic mindset with ability to translate scientific vision into actionable clinical plans.
* Exceptional communication and leadership skills; ability to engage effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
