Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Caregivers to provide high-quality support to individuals in need of assistance with daily living activities. As a Caregiver, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for seniors and those requiring additional care, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. This position is ideal for individuals who have a passion for helping others and possess the necessary skills to deliver exceptional care.
Responsibilities
* Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
* Support clients with mobility and physical activities, ensuring their safety at all times.
* Prepare and serve meals according to care plans, taking into account dietary restrictions.
* Administer medication as prescribed and monitor clients for any side effects or changes in condition.
* Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any significant changes to relevant healthcare professionals.
* Develop and implement individualised care plans in collaboration with healthcare teams.
* Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive environment.
* Drive clients to appointments or social activities as needed, ensuring their transportation needs are met.
Skills
* Previous experience in senior care, assisted living, or nursing home settings is highly desirable.
* Knowledge of medical terminology and case management principles is an advantage.
* Familiarity with hospice care practices and the ability to create effective care plans.
* Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with clients and their families.
* Ability to administer medication accurately while adhering to safety protocols.
* Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to improve the lives of others.
* Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in maintaining client records.
