Overview
Head of Governance (Part time) at Barnsbury Housing Association (BHA). This newly created role acts as Company Secretary, ensures regulatory compliance, manages governance frameworks and advises the Board and Leadership Team. The position is 2 days a week, part time, with agile working (remote with some evening meetings) in Barnsbury, Islington. The role offers £55,000 - £60,000 (pro rata) plus excellent benefits.
Responsibilities
* Act as Company Secretary and lead governance, regulatory compliance and governance frameworks for the organisation
* Advise the Board and Leadership Team on governance matters
* Foster trusted, productive relationships at all levels and provide independent, rigorous governance challenge and support
What You’ll Bring (Qualifications)
* Proven experience in governance, company secretarial or compliance roles, ideally within the social housing sector or a closely related setting
* Strong insight into governance frameworks, the sector’s regulatory landscape and consumer standards
* An independent perspective with a balanced approach to providing challenge, rigour and support
* The ability to foster trusted, productive relationships at all levels
* Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail
