To provide a comprehensive and complete Medical Staffing service to the Surgery and Oncology Division, overseeing all aspects of medical locum bookings, recruitment, annual leave, sickness/absence and medical rotas.
To provide administration and project support to the Divisional Medical Director & Guardian of Safe Working Hours.
The position will involve regular contact with members of the Trust and Executive Board, Divisional Director, Clinical Directorates, senior clinical staff and managers.
The post holder requires excellent organisational skills, must be flexible in approach, able to exercise initiative and demonstrate a consistently high standard of professionalism, being aware of the need for confidentiality and integrity. Fundamental to this post is the ability to multi-task and effectively manage stressful situations working to tight deadlines.
Main duties of the job

·To manage and support the roll out of new initiatives, development of new processes and implementation of change across the Division in terms of medical recruitment and staffing
·To liaise with HR on all aspects of medical staffing and recruitment, building an effective and robust relationship with our HR colleagues
·Organise the smooth transition of medical staff rotations – lead and support as required
·Responsible for recruiting, training and line managing medical staffing administrator/s
·Responsible for overseeing all aspects of doctor locum bookings by overseeing vacancy/rota gaps
·To oversee implementation and ongoing management of all medical rotas on Eroster/HealthRoster
·Responsible for rota compliancy and implementation on to Eroster and ongoing maintenance
·Responsible for positive engagement between medical staff and Eroster.
·Monitor annual leave for medical staff and alerting departments to any potential problems.
·Responsible for developing robust systems to ensure smooth running of the Medical Staffing office.
·To develop the Medical Staffing Team into a robust Division wide service providing support, guidance, monitoring and administration for all medical staffing and recruitment needs with a particular focus securing high quality, cost effective cover for medical rotas.
