Responsibilities
* Work closely with the Aseptics Services Manager and Accountable Pharmacist to support the implementation, monitoring and review of the quality management system, ensuring the safe and timely provision of chemotherapy.
* Act as one of the authorised pharmacists to final release aseptically prepared chemotherapy products for patient use – products prepared in the onsite aseptic unit and outsourced products.
* Deputise for the Lead Pharmacist Aseptics Services as required.
* Assist in the management of the Pharmacy Quality Management System (PQS) in Aseptics Services by completing complaints, deviations, change controls, updating standard operating procedures (SOPs) and conducting GMP audits.
* Support the development, delivery and evaluation of the Trust’s cancer services in line with the NHS Long Term Strategy for Cancer.
* Team-manage staff to ensure the effective operation of the services provided.
* Participate in any 7‑day shift pattern as required by the service, which may include weekend and bank holiday rota.
