Mental Health Support Assistant - Psychology Graduate

Salary Scale: £450-£500 per week

The role involves working with students with social, emotional, and mental health needs in Northampton's Alternative Provision. The school supports boys and girls aged 5-19 with additional needs, employing a restorative, therapeutic approach to education and behaviour management.
As a Learning Support Assistant, you will work in small classes of 3-6 pupils, with a staff-to-student ratio of 1:1.
Requirements:
* An undergraduate degree (preferable) and/or previous SEN experience, ideal for Criminology and Psychology graduates
* Experience or understanding of how mental health and autism affect different genders
* Good general education levels in English and Maths, 5 GCSEs and above
* Interest in outside activities that develop personal skills, such as Sport, Cooking, Coding, Dance, Hairdressing, Photography
* Keen interest or understanding of various learning and behavioural needs, including SEMH
