Building Surveyor
Location: Cardiff (hybrid - 1 week on-site, 2 weeks remote)
Contract: 6 months + possible extension
IR35: Inside
Rate: £410 Umbrella
We are looking for an experienced Building Surveyor to support a major rail organisation on a 6-month contract. The role involves carrying out and reporting on condition surveys across a diverse building portfolio, ensuring compliance with statutory and rail standards.
Responsibilities
* Deliver and manage asset condition surveys to required standards and deadlines.
* Report on asset condition using the company\'s asset management system.
* Support Asset Engineers with maintenance priorities, business planning, and technical work scopes.
* Monitor planned/reactive maintenance and attend scheme hand-backs.
* Fulfil Building Surveyor duties under CDM 2015.
Requirements
* HND/HNC (or equivalent) in a relevant subject.
* Proven experience in building condition surveying.
* Knowledge of Building Regulations, CDM, and statutory maintenance requirements.
* Rail knowledge including track safety and possessions regime.
* Valid DBS, PTS, and STE5 competencies from Day One.
* Strong IT and communication skills.
* Full UK driving licence.
