Purpose of Role
We are currently seeking an experienced and proactive Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join the team on a Defence site in Bicester.
Job Description
This is a vital role where you’ll be responsible for both planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance, ensuring the site’s electrical systems remain safe, compliant, and fully operational.
Responsibilities
* Carry out scheduled PPM tasks on a variety of electrical systems and equipment
* Respond promptly and effectively to reactive maintenance requests
* Diagnose and repair faults to ensure minimal downtime
* Ensure all works are carried out in accordance with relevant regulations and Vinci Facilities standards
* Accurately complete maintenance documentation and update system records
* Participate in the on-call rota (1 in 5 weeks), providing emergency support as required
* Work closely with the site team and external contractors when necessary
Essential Qualifications/Skills
* NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Electrical Installation/Maintenance
* Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
* Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
* Good communication and teamwork abilities
* Full UK driving licence
* Must be eligible to obtain and maintain security clearance (due to Defence site requirements)
