About the role As Events Officer you will develop, deliver and evaluate a clear, varied and informative employability events programme. Activities will be delivered centrally and within faculties. You will build on relationships with University colleagues, external partners, and employers to offer a suite of events and activities that bring employers and opportunities closer to our students and deliver on flagship events including Careers Fair and alumni careers insights. You will work closely with the Employer Engagement Manager to deliver on targets set out in the Careers & Entrepreneurship Operating Plan – the team’s actions to drive progress towards the Sussex 2035 Strategy, the Education And Student Life Plan and alignment of curricula to the Sussex Academic Framework. About you You’ll be a confident and capable administrator with relevant experience, demonstrating strong organisational and planning skills. You’ll take responsibility of your workload, manage competing priorities effectively, and provide supportive line management to colleagues. Clear communication and collaboration will be key, as you work closely with the Careers & Entrepreneurship team, other University colleagues, and external contacts including our valued employer partners.
