Assessment Test
If you are successful at the shortlisting stage, you will be invited to a work‑based test. You must be able to type a minimum of 30 words per minute, have a good grasp of spelling, and demonstrate accurate keyboard skills while conversing on the telephone and recording information simultaneously. Reasonable adjustments can be offered at the testing stage, subject to need.
Disability Confirmation
Disability Confident: A Disability Confident employer will generally offer an interview to any applicant who declares they have a disability and meets the minimum criteria for the job as defined by the employer. In certain recruitment situations such as high‑volume, seasonal and high‑peak times, the employer may wish to limit the overall numbers of interviews offered to both disabled people and non‑disabled people.
Vetting Level
Recruitment: You must have resided in the UK for at least the last 3 years, with less than 12 months spent abroad (some exceptions for those living on a UK military base). All applicants will be subject to the Nottinghamshire Police Vetting Policy.
Current Nottinghamshire Police Staff
For current Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner staff applicants, please note that Nottinghamshire Police would be a new employer. However, an agreement has been made whereby all tenure and length of service will be honoured. Candidates currently at risk will be required to complete and attach the at‑risk pro‑forma document.
Nottinghamshire Police is committed to the principles of Equality, Fairness and Diversity, and we welcome applications from all sections of the community in our efforts to recruit a diverse and flexible workforce that reflects the people we serve.
