Health & Safety Advisor - Hampshire - Permanent - £45,000 per year plus benefits

Synergize Consulting are now hiring for a Health & Safety Advisor to work at a leading defence client on a permanent basis.

The successful candidate will provide specialist guidance as to safety, health and environments as part of a team based at a large engineering site. This role will involve working at a manufacturing site and requires the candidate to enter industrial environments, sometimes at height.

Responsibilities include:

- Providing professional and accurate H&S advice on the requirements of related legislation and compliance with company procedures across defence programmes.
- Conducting H&S audits, inspections in accordance with internal procedures and ISO 45001 / ISO 14001 requirements, to agreed and communicated schedules.
- Investigating H&S accidents, incidents and non-conformances, producing comprehensive reports with root cause analysis in line with procedural requirements within agreed timescales.
- Participating in and supporting wider H&S activities, e.g. on call rota, public events, promotional events
- Supporting the occupational health department as appropriate with focus on early intervention and rehabilitation of injured parties
