Band 3 Children's Emergency Department Assistant
We are looking for enthusiastic, committed, and hardworking individuals to join our Children's ED team. You must be able to work well under pressure and have a willingness to learn and develop your own skills. If this is you, we would be delighted to hear from you. The successful candidate will be expected to provide the highest standard of evidence based; patient centered care. You will have a passion for education training and development of staff which ultimately impact on the patients. Our busy Children's Emergency Departments cover two sites - Queens Hospital in Romford and King George's Hospital in Goodmayes. We deliver a comprehensive range of general Paediatric and Surgical Services to our local communities.

The post holder will provide support and assistance to nursing staff through the delivery of holistic care for patients within the Children's Emergency Department. The post holder will use their extended skills to ensure initial investigations are commenced upon arrival. The post holder will escort and supervise stable patients to radiology or the ward upon the nurse in charge's assessment.
Our CED team is expanding, and you will be learning and developing your knowledge while ensuring your skills are kept fully up to date. You will be supported by our Practice Development Nurses, Senior Sisters/Charge Nurse, Matrons and members of the wider MDT Team.
