About the Role:
We are looking for a hardworking and reliable Housekeeping Assistant to join our team at Thanet Well Lodge Retreat, one of Darwin Escapes’ beautiful holiday destinations.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who takes pride in cleanliness, enjoys working as part of a team and is passionate about creating a welcoming environment for guests. As a Housekeeping Assistant, you will play a key role in ensuring all accommodation and guest areas are cleaned and presented to a high standard.
This is a hands-on role, ideal for someone who is efficient, detail-focused and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
This position offers a variable-hours contract, with up to 25 hours per week available, including shifts across both mornings and afternoons.

Key Responsibilities:
• Clean and prepare lodges and accommodation to company standards
• Ensure all rooms, bathrooms, kitchens and living areas are spotless and well-presented
• Change bed linen and replenish towels and guest supplies
• Report any maintenance issues, damages or missing items
• Ensure all cleaning equipment and materials are used safely and stored correctly
• Maintain cleanliness in public and staff areas where required
• Work efficiently to meet daily cleaning schedules and deadlines
• Follow all health & safety and hygiene procedures
• Support the wider housekeeping team as required
What We’re Looking For:
• Previous experience in housekeeping or cleaning is desirable but not essential
• Strong attention to detail and high standards of cleanliness
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Good time management and organisational skills
• A positive attitude and strong work ethic
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• A flexible approach to work

Additional Information:
This is a fixed term role and will require flexibility to work weekends and bank holidays in line with business needs.
This role is physically demanding and will involve standing, bending and lifting for extended periods, as well as working to tight turnaround times to ensure accommodation is ready for guest arrivals.
