KCR Solutions are delighted to be partnering with an excellent client in Cramlington to recruit a Management Accountant. This pivotal role is responsible for producing accurate monthly reporting, delivering meaningful financial analysis, and providing robust support across a growing SME. The successful candidate will take ownership of the month-end process, budgeting and forecasting cycles, cash flow management, and financial controls, while working closely with operational teams to enhance performance and inform commercial decision-making. Key Responsibilities Prepare monthly management accounts, including P&L, balance sheet and cash flow Complete month-end close activities including accruals, prepayments, and journals Reconcile balance sheet accounts and investigate variances Assist with the production of annual budgets and regular forecasts Analyse variances between actuals, budget, and forecast Work with non-finance stakeholders to support operational decision-making Provide financial analysis for pricing, margins, and cost control Monitor cash flow and prepare cash flow forecasts Support working capital management, debtors, creditors and stock Maintain and improve accounting systems and reporting processes Support implementation of new systems or process improvements Ensure accurate data capture and reporting efficiency Support year-end accounts preparation and liaison with external accountants/auditors Assist with VAT returns and other statutory submissions Ensure compliance with HMRC and Companies House requirements The role will suit someone actively studying towards CIMA, ACA, ACCA or QBE, with a good working knowledge of Excel and accounting systems. Previous SME experience would be an advantage.
