Patient Pathway Navigator AA – NHS Fife Gastroenterology CNS Team
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Patient Pathway Navigator to join our dynamic Gastroenterology CNS Team at NHS Fife.
This fixed‑term post (INTERNAL SECONDMENT) runs until 31 March 2026 and is part‑time with salary pro‑rata.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide administrative support across key patient pathways including IBD, immunosuppression, liver disease and PEG.
* Maintain and update pathway databases and coordinate multidisciplinary team (MDT) meetings.
* Liaise with patients, clinicians and multidisciplinary teams to ensure smooth and timely progression through care pathways.
* Identify and escalates delays to support service improvement and meet national and local targets.
Essential Criteria
* Experience working in multidisciplinary teams and managing complex administrative processes.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Proficient in IT systems and data entry.
* Ability to work independently and prioritise tasks under pressure.
Desirable
* Knowledge of Gastroenterology services and NHS databases.
* Experience within acute hospital setting or primary care.
Requirements
Applicants must become a member of the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme prior to appointment.
