About the role
We are looking for dynamic and enthusiastic people to join ACFS as Assistant Finance Officers. It is an exciting opportunity to work in a busy, fast paced department within Adult and Children’s Financial Services (ACFS) supporting the delivery of Staffordshire County Council priorities including crisis support, care eligibility and affordable care services.
Hybrid working
This role is hybrid working where you will need to attend our office in Stafford (currently one day a week plus occasional meetings) and more often, working from home.
Main Responsibilities
* Accurate and timely processing of Adult Social Care charges.
* Billing charges to care recipients and payments to care providers.
* Managing system records and liaising with financial representatives.
The Ideal Candidate
* Good communication skills and ability to develop effective working relationships.
* Ability to proactively provide excellent customer service.
* Ability to deliver accurate and timely completion of work.
* Competency in using multiple computer systems.
* Excellent numerical skills and attention to detail.
Qualifications
An understanding of social care and charging would be beneficial but isn’t essential as training will be provided, as well as ongoing support and development.
