Role Overview
Coordinate and project manage environmental quality and certification programs within the LEQ department, working closely with the Local Environmental Quality Manager to ensure effective delivery and stakeholder engagement.
Key Responsibilities
1. Coordination: Manage resources and oversee field officers to deliver program outputs on time and within budget.
2. Project Management: Lead planning, implementation, and reporting of environmental initiatives.
3. Surveying and Certifications: Coordinate programs like Blue Flag, Green Flag, and conduct cleanliness surveys across areas.
4. Community Engagement: Promote community participation and expand program coverage.
5. Communications: Serve as the primary contact, respond to inquiries, and represent the charity at events.
6. Research Support: Assist with research and policy analysis on environmental sustainability.
7. Authority and Decision-making: Manage stakeholder communications and assist with marketing efforts.
Qualifications & Experience
* Essential: Relevant degree or three years' experience, including at least 1 year in surveying/auditing, 2 years in program delivery, and 1 year in staff supervision.
* Desirable: Experience in data analysis, voluntary sector, or local government roles.
Skills & Requirements
* Strong ICT skills (Microsoft Office).
* Full driving license and access to transport.
* Knowledge of environmental issues; desirable: behavior change principles.
* Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and independent working skills.
Additional Details
* Flexible working hours, hybrid model (minimum 2 days in Belfast office).
* Salary: £30,328 per annum.
* Contract: Permanent, subject to funding.
* Travel throughout Northern Ireland may be required.
