Job Overview
Join a pioneering company at the forefront of the UK's green industrial revolution. We are leading the design and construction of a state-of-the-art lithium-ion battery manufacturing facility, a project that will play a pivotal role in the UK's transition to sustainable energy. This ambitious development will be one of the largest battery production sites in the UK, and we are looking for an experienced Senior Commercial Manager to oversee commercial operations and ensure the successful delivery of the project.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage all commercial aspects of the project, including procurement, tendering, contract administration, variations, and subcontract management.
* Lead the cost management process, conducting thorough analysis of labour, plant, and material costs to minimize risk and maximize value.
* Ensure that commercial strategies align with the project's objectives and deliverables.
* Support the management of large-scale subcontract works packages, from initial engagement through to final account resolution.
* Collaborate with various teams to ensure the project remains on budget, on schedule, and meets high-quality standards.
Requirements
* A degree in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
* Proven experience in the construction industry, with a focus on managing large-scale projects valued over £100m.
* Expertise in NEC contracts and managing substantial teams.
* Strong track record in cost control, procurement, and managing complex contracts.
* Previous experience in large-scale industrial projects is highly desirable.
Preferred Qualifications
* Experience with large-scale industrial construction, particularly in battery manufacturing or similar sectors, is advantageous.
* Relevant professional memberships or certifications are a plus.
