Assembly Technician – Temporary Traffic Light Manufacturing Winsford, Cheshire | TEMP - PERM| Mechanical & Electrical Assembly £13.14 per hour Advertised by Bralin Recruitment on behalf of our client Are you hands-on, detail-oriented, and experienced in mechanical assembly? Bralin Recruitment is working with a respected client in the manufacturing sector to find a skilled Assembly Technician to join their team, assembling and testing temporary traffic light systems. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in the production of vital roadside safety equipment, supporting smooth production output and ensuring all units meet strict safety and performance standards. Key Responsibilities * Assemble temporary traffic light units and control systems from components to finished product. * Follow technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and detailed instructions. * Carry out mechanical assembly of traffic systems using hand and power tools. * Ensure high standards of build quality and report any defects or issues. * Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment, adhering to 5S and Health & Safety practices. * Liaise with stores, logistics, and design teams to meet production targets and resolve issues. * Complete relevant documentation for build data, test results, and any changes. * Support with stock checks, goods-in inspections, and general workshop upkeep. * Engage in training and continuous improvement initiatives. Working Hours * Monday – Thursday: 8:00am – 5:00pm * Friday: 8:00am – 4:30pm * 42 hours per week, including: * 30-minute unpaid lunch * Two 10-minute paid breaks per day What We’re Looking For * Hands-on experience in mechanical and/or electrical assembly. * Ability to read and work from technical drawings and wiring schematics. * Competent using hand tools, power tools, and electrical test equipment. * Awareness of workshop health and safety standards. * Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work. * Positive, flexible, and team-oriented approach. Desirable (Not Essential) * Previous experience assembling electronic or signalling equipment. * Understanding of portable traffic light technology. * Engineering qualifications (NVQ, City & Guilds, BTEC). * Familiarity with ISO 9001 or lean manufacturing methods. Core Competencies * Compliance: Adheres to internal and external quality standards. * Health & Safety: Works in line with current QHSE legislation. * Customer Awareness: Understands the importance of quality for end-users. * Organisation & Delivery: Plans and executes tasks to meet production goals
