Job Overview
We have a fantastic new job opportunity for an Anti-Social Behaviour Case Investigation Officer with previous experience in managing ASB cases or housing management and preparing court and legal documents.
Working as the Anti-Social Behaviour Case Investigation Officer, you will manage and take ownership of a caseload of high-level complex ASB cases, ensuring the organisation achieves high customer satisfaction.
You should have good knowledge of current housing and ASB legislation, preferably gained from working as a Police Officer or a PCSO / Police Community Support Officer, or from managing ASB cases within the Housing Sector or Local Authority Setting. Up-to-date case law knowledge and the ability to represent cases in court are essential.
Responsibilities
* Manage day-to-day ASB cases across all tenures, interpreting tenancy agreements and leases to ensure proper handling according to tenure.
* Draft and serve NSPs as required.
* Prepare witness statements for court proceedings.
* Work with the legal team and represent the organisation at court hearings.
* Undertake mediation, with relevant professional qualification if not already achieved.
* Attend multi-agency ASB meetings related to case management and community safety.
* Build relationships with external agencies.
* Support victims and alleged perpetrators, providing advice, referrals, and ongoing support.
* Advise the wider business on ASB matters.
Candidate Requirements
* Full clean UK driving license and own vehicle.
* Experience managing ASB or housing management in private or public sectors.
* Experience drafting legal documents and representing cases in court.
* Ability to adopt a continuous improvement approach and adapt to change.
* Excellent communication skills with residents and stakeholders.
* Knowledge of current housing and ASB legislation and case law.
* Ability to plan and monitor workload and cases.
* Willing to study for CIH membership or an equivalent qualification.
* Excellent IT skills.
* Educational requirements: GCSEs in Math and English (Grades A*-C).
