Mobile Electrician - Bellshill & Surrounding Areas
We are currently looking for a Mobile Electrician to join our team based from Bellshill, covering the surrounding areas. This is a permanent, full-time role working 40 hours per week. The position offers a salary of £38,000 per annum, along with an excellent benefits package and opportunities for ongoing training and development.
Responsibilities
* Delivering planned and reactive electrical maintenance across multiple sites.
* Carrying out Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) on electrical infrastructure and plant in line with site schedules and CAFM systems.
* Responding to and resolving reactive maintenance tasks, identifying opportunities for improvement where possible.
* Diagnosing and repairing plant faults and defects to ensure equipment remains operational.
* Maintaining adequate stock levels of spare parts to support maintenance and reactive works.
* Providing parts lists and estimated timescales for remedial works.
* Completing and submitting all relevant documentation to the contract administrator in a timely manner.
* Preparing Method Statements and Risk Assessments to ensure all work is carried out safely.
* Building strong working relationships with team members, subcontractors and client representatives.
* Ensuring a safe working environment, including adherence to PPE and company safety procedures.
* Keeping accurate plant logs and supervising subcontractor activities when required.
* Ensuring compliance with Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
* Using and updating the CAFM system (e.g., PlanOn) for PPM schedules and reactive work orders.
* Operating within the Permit to Work system in line with technical and SHEQ processes.
* Providing engineering support during emergency situations to maintain operational continuity.
* Obtaining relevant technical appointments (e.g., LVCP/LVAP/HVAP) where required to issue permits.
* Ensuring all electrical work complies with BS7671 regulations.
* Participating in the on-call rota (1 in 4).
Qualifications
* Qualified electrician (as implied by the role description).
