Job overview
The NIHR Imperial Clinical Research Facility (CRF) at Hammersmith Hospital is seeking a skilled and motivated Research Involvement, Engagement and Inclusion Manager to lead on patient and public involvement and engagement (PPIE), and equality, diversity and inclusion (EDI).
This is a unique opportunity to shape how clinical research is experienced and delivered, ensuring it reflects and serves the diverse communities we work with. You'll work closely with CRF staff, researchers, patients, and partners across Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust, Imperial College London, and the wider National Institute of Health and Care Research (NIHR) infrastructure.
You will hold a post graduate qualification in a relevant discipline and have experience of developing and delivering inclusive involvement and engagement strategies in healthcare, research, and/or community settings.

Main duties of the job
* Work closely with PERC to deliver the overall NIHR Imperial PPIE Strategy
* Develop and implement strategies and action plans for PPIE and RI aligned with NIHR and Trust priorities.
* Advise the CRF senior Management Team on best practices, compliance, and innovation across both domains.
* Facilitate meaningful involvement of patients and the public in research design, delivery, and dissemination.
* Organise engagement events and outreach activities to connect with diverse communities.
* Develop and deliver PPIE policies and procedures.
* Embed EDI principles across CRF operations, including recruitment, training, and research delivery.
* Deliver and/or signpost staff training and support inclusive workforce development.
* Devise strategies to ensure all necessary data is collected and managed efficiently and in compliance with GDPR.
* Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders including Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust, NIHR, Imperial College London, patient groups, PPI Panel and community organisations.
