We're looking for a hands‑on CNC Programmer & Operator to take parts from design through to the shop floor—programming, setting, running and maintaining a mix of CNC and manual machines to deliver precision components, jigs, fixtures and tooling.
What you'll be doing
* Program, set and operate a 4‑Axis CNC Vertical Machining Centre plus manual machines
* Take data from the Design Team (SolidWorks) and create machining strategies in CAM (VISI beneficial)
* Machine components and assemblies to drawing, tolerance and spec
* Own machine reliability: build and manage maintenance logs and service schedules
* Work closely with machine suppliers on servicing, repairs and improvements
* Select, purchase and maintain tooling; keep sensible stock of service/replacement parts
* Keep standards high on Health & Safety and safe machine use
* Stay “demo‑ready” when visitors are on site—machines running smoothly and professionally
What we're looking for
* Strong experience programming/setting/operating CNC (plus manual machining)
* Confident reading engineering drawings and working to tight tolerances
* Solid engineering mindset with great attention to detail
* Proactive, organised, takes ownership and gets things done
* Good communication skills and comfortable with computers
Nice to have
* VISI CAM knowledge
* Broader experience maintaining/servicing machine tools
Full training provided on any machines/software you haven't used before.
