Key Responsibilities
* Set up and operate CNC surface and cylindrical grinding machines
* Interpret complex aerospace engineering drawings and process specifications
* Manufacture precision components to tight tolerances and exact surface finishes
* Conduct in-process inspections using micrometers, comparators, and other precision instruments
* Perform routine machine maintenance and tool cleaning
* Accurately complete production and quality documentation
* Adhere to Health & Safety and quality assurance protocols
* Collaborate with QA and Manufacturing Engineering teams to meet design and customer standards
Required Skills & Experience
* Proven experience with CNC grinding in aerospace or precision engineering
* Strong knowledge of geometric tolerancing, machining principles, and CNC programming
* Ability to read and interpret technical engineering drawings
* Familiarity with AS9100 standards (preferred)
* Skilled in using micrometers, verniers, and gauges
* High attention to detail and commitment to quality
* Self-motivated and adaptable; able to work independently or as part of a team
* Apprenticeship or NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical Engineering / CNC Machining (preferred)
