Job Description – Housing Management Worker (26901)

This is a great opportunity to join our team. You’ll support our customers, ensuring their homes are safe and well maintained. Providing a housing management service, you’ll help them manage and maintain their tenancy and rent accounts with the aim of helping them move on to a secure, long‑term accommodation.
What you’ll do
* Engage and involve customers in their tenancies, ensuring their properties are homes they can be proud of.
* Help customers with housing benefit claims, ensuring claims are received on their rent account.
* Turn around vacant properties to support new customers and maintain maximum occupancy.
* Carry out and record routine safety and compliance checks in buildings and communities to ensure compliance.
* Manage administrative tasks including updating records, ordering, and arranging payment for works.
* Manage your own diary and coordinate turn‑over of properties.
* Work primarily from our service in Egremont, with occasional cover at other sites.
You have
* Background in property management or a related area, with experience of compliance and health and safety checks (not a deal‑breaker).
* A passion for delivering excellent customer service and a genuine desire to help customers.
* Ability to work independently and positively influence people from all backgrounds.
* Confidence working collaboratively with colleagues across the business and with external partners.
* Passion for property; relish ensuring properties are the best they can be for customers.
* Availability to work Monday to Friday, 09:30‑13:15 (flexible for the right candidate).
* Ability to manage your own diary and use technology for support plans, benefit claims, and tenancy sign‑ups.
* Vehicle insured for business use (mileage will be paid). Will be required to undertake an Enhanced DBS check (cost covered).
