A typical day includes conducting eye examinations, contact lens fittings, and extended service examinations. You will work alongside our Dispensing Optician Manager to support training, coaching, and maintaining departmental standards.
Due to our NHS extended service contracts, we are committed to providing a wide range of eye care for treatment and monitoring of eye conditions, supporting you to gain any additional necessary accreditations.
We are passionate about developing our Optometrists' skills. We offer a comprehensive CPD programme and protected time for further accredited training, funded by Asda, to help you meet the evolving needs of our customers.
With support from our in-store, regional, and head office teams, you will receive expert advice and assistance, whether your queries are clinical or service-related.

We are seeking a dedicated Optometrist committed to excellence in healthcare. The ideal candidate is eager to contribute to our store's service levels and foster positive relationships within our team and community.

* A fully qualified optometrist registered with the GOC
* Registered to perform with your NHS area team or health board
* MECs or WECs accredited (or willing to gain accreditation within 12 months, supported and funded by us)
* On track to meet CPD statutory points requirements
* Passionate about developing new patient services and shaping departmental culture
Applicants must be registered with the GOC and have evidence of Right To Work in the UK. Evidence of NHS performer list inclusion and clinical references will be required. In Wales, WECS and WGOS module accreditation evidence is also necessary.
