Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Nursery Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children and a commitment to fostering a nurturing and educational environment. This role involves supporting the nursery staff in providing high-quality care and early childhood education, ensuring the safety and well-being of all children in our care.
Responsibilities
* Assist in the daily care and supervision of children, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
* Support the planning and implementation of age-appropriate activities that promote learning and development, including knowledge of SEN strategies where required.
* Complete observations and assessments for children's development.
* Foster positive relationships with children, encouraging their social, emotional, and physical development.
* Maintain a clean, safe, and stimulating environment for children to explore and learn.
* Follow all nursery policies, including safeguarding and health and safety.
* Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding children's progress and any concerns that may arise.
* Work collaboratively with other nursery staff to create a cohesive team environment.
* Participate in training sessions and professional development opportunities to enhance skills in childcare and early childhood education.
Qualifications
Level 3 Early Years Qualification (or equivalent) Essential
Previous experience working with children in a nursery or childcare setting is highly desirable. Having a good understanding of the EYFS requirements. Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children is essential.
Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written, to engage with children, parents, and colleagues.
