About the role as a EHCP Coordinator:
The EHCP Co-ordinator is responsible for managing EHCP processes for learners who are either currently in college or seeking to enter college. This includes working closely with Local Authority SEN teams, local schools, and other key stakeholders. The role has a particular focus on consultations and annual reviews for learners with an EHCP. You will be part of the Group Learning Support (GLS) team that supports learners who face substantial barriers to learning.
This is a permanent, part-time role working 22.5 hours per week, based at our Banbury College with the possibility of offering support across Oxfordshire to the wider Group Learning Support team.
What do you need to be a successful EHCP Co-ordinator?
The successful candidate will also be required to collaborate with colleagues and faculty staff to ensure that Activate Learning is providing a consistent, supportive approach to those with an EHCP and additional needs.
You will have sound knowledge of learning difficulties and disabilities and experience of working with special educational needs. You should have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and experience of coordinating and chairing meetings as well as completing administration tasks within set time frames to ensure we meet statutory regulation deadlines.
About you:
1. Level 3 qualification or equivalent in English Language, Sociology, Psychology, or similar
2. Specialist SEND qualification (preferable)
3. Previous experience of working within an educational setting, particularly working with LLDD students
4. Effective communication skills
