We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Pastoral Worker to join our team and provide social, emotional and behavioural support to students across SEN and SEMH settings in the Wigan Borough. This is a full-time position, ideal for someone who thrives in a supportive role and is committed to helping pupils overcome barriers to learning.

Role Responsibilities:
* Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with SEN and/or SEMH needs
* Build trusting relationships to support emotional wellbeing and behaviour management
* Work closely with class teachers, SENCOs and external professionals
* Support the development and implementation of behaviour plans and pastoral care strategies
* Promote positive behaviour and engagement in learning
* Monitor progress and contribute to pupil support reviews

Ideal Candidate Will Have:
* Experience working with children or young people with SEN, SEMH, or behavioural needs
* A nurturing, resilient and patient approach
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* The ability to manage challenging behaviour calmly and effectively
* Relevant qualifications or training (e.g., Team Teach, mental health awareness, youth work) – desirable but not essential
* A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
