The Role
We are looking for a proactive, detail-focused, and motivated individual with a can-do attitude to join the Education team here in Newcastle Law School.

Working as part of the Education Team, you will contribute to the successful delivery of an excellent student and colleague experience. You will work with students, academics, professional services colleagues and other key stakeholders. You will ensure the smooth and effective running of administrative duties in your area and operational support of the School’s activities.
You will be responsible for activities such as:
1. Providing comprehensive end-to-end administrative support for research programmes in the School
2. Supporting alumni relations, student employability, and our Continued Professional Development offer
3. Event organisation, social media content creation, and web editing
4. Providing general administrative services such as purchasing, student employment processes, and reception cover
5. Acting as School Safety Officer, first aider, fire marshal and DSE assessor

Key Accountabilities
6. Provide a professional and proactive service to students and academic colleagues, responding to queries and requests quickly and efficiently and referring onwards where appropriate.
7. Support the administration and delivery of education and student experience related activities, for example induction, scholarship administration, employability opportunities, and alumni relations.
8. To take the lead on administrative support to colleagues and students including (but not limited to) purchasing, coordinating events, and internal and external communications.
9. To develop, implement and maintain effective office procedures and systems to ensure that support is efficient, timely and accurate.
10. To act as secretary to meetings including logistical arrangements such as room bookings, agenda preparation and circulation, minute taking and monitoring progress of actions.
11. To understand and implement relevant policies and procedures.
12. To work as part of a wider Law School professional services team and to undertake other duties within the scope and general nature of the grade.

20. Experience of administrative duties, including but not limited to general meeting support, diary management, dealing with enquiries

Qualifications
33. Maths and English GCSE at grade 4/C or equivalent.
