I have partnered with a government consultancy who are seeking a proactive Payroll Administrator to join an experienced and supportive team of 6. Reporting to the Payroll Team Leader you will have experience in start-finish weekly and monthly Payroll.
This role is ideal for someone who is highly organised, self-dependent, and proficient in managing multiple payroll functions.
Day-to-day of the role:
* Process payroll data for weekly and monthly cycles, including data from HR departments and line managers regarding starters, leavers, pay adjustments, sickness, and other changes.
* Handle telephone and email queries from clients, employees, and third parties efficiently and effectively.
* Manage and prioritise own workload to meet tight deadlines and cut-off dates.
* Ensure accurate processing of changes to payroll arising from queries, such as raising overpayments and processing payments.
* Conduct checks on data for self and colleagues’ work, maintaining an audit trail.
* Adhere to all regulatory requirements including the Data Protection Act, client confidentiality, and internal policies and procedures.
* Assist the Team Leader and Senior with various tasks and undertake additional duties as required.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
* Highly organised with the ability to prioritise workload effectively.
* Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
* Strong numeracy and methodical skills.
* Excellent customer service and experience of dealing with senior stakeholders via email
* Knowledge of Zellis/Northgate software is beneficial
