The ideal candidate is an experienced senior Local Government professional who can step in quickly during an interim period and demonstrate:
* Proven experience within community safety or related fields
* A working understanding of violence reduction and civil contingency principles
* Knowledge of how public bodies prevent, plan for, and respond to emergencies and serious harm
* Strong strategic planning and leadership capability
* Financial planning and resource management experience
* The ability to think strategically while maintaining operational awareness
