This role attracts a Recruitment and Retention Payment of £45,000, structured over three years:
* £15,000 on appointment
* £10,000 at 12 months
* £10,000 at 24 months
* £10,000 at 36 months
* (Pro rata for part time posts. Relocation allowance may also be available.)
About the role
We are looking for an enthusiastic Consultant Psychiatrist to join the Hastings Neighbourhood Mental Health Team. You will provide high-quality care to patients with severe and enduring mental illness, working within a supportive, multidisciplinary team.
The role includes:
* Delivering specialist psychiatric assessment and treatment.
* Leading clinical practice and contributing to service development.
* Working collaboratively with colleagues, patients, and carers.
* Supporting junior doctors and wider team members.
You will be based in a friendly team environment with your own workspace and dedicated administrative support.
About you
* Full GMC registration, with eligibility for inclusion on the Specialist Register (CCT within 6 months considered).
* MRCPsych (or equivalent).
* Section 12 and Approved Clinician status.
* Experience managing patients with complex mental health needs.
* Strong team working and communication skills.
