Brief Description
Are you technically minded and enjoy solving problems? We’re seeking a Technical Support Technician to join our Engineering team, supporting customers and colleagues with product enquiries, testing, and technical documentation. You will play a key role in helping us deliver outstanding service and innovative solutions.

Qualifications Required
5 GCSEs at 9 – 4 / A* – C (5 or above preferred), must include maths, English language, and ideally Science, or equivalent related qualification.

Training to be Provided
* Advanced Manufacturing Engineering Practical Foundation Training – in year 1, in 6 week blocks to include 4 weeks at Make UK and 2 weeks in company
* Advanced Manufacturing Engineering Workplace Competence Training – in years 2 to 4 in company
* Level 3 BTEC Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering Development Knowledge – in Years 1, 2 & 3 on block release to Make UK
* In house training in line with your requirements.
* Further qualifications deemed necessary by your employer
On completion of your studies and End Point Assessment (EPA), you will achieve your full apprenticeship certification that will prove competence as a Level 3 Engineering Technician.
Future Prospects
1. Technical Support Engineer
o Take on more complex customer or internal technical challenges.
o Lead troubleshooting efforts, support product development, and collaborate with design teams.
o Provide specialist support and testing across multiple departments or customer sites.
2. Applications Engineer / Product Specialist
o Advise customers on technical applications and product selection.
o Support sales teams with product demonstrations, trials, and solution design.
o Act as a technical bridge between engineering, sales, and the customer.
3. Process Engineer
o Process improvement and development
o Tooling design, specification and purchasing
o Problem solving
4. Tool room engineer
o Machining and assembly of installation tooling
o Supporting special manufacture installation equipment builds

Hours: Mon - Thur 8am to 4.30pm and Fri 8am to 2pm
