Salary: £33,594 - £50,589
Hours: 35 per week
About Liberton High School
Liberton High School is a non-denominational secondary school with approximately 900 pupils, working in partnership with our associated primaries of Craigour Park, Gilmerton, Liberton, and Prestonfield to serve our local community in South East Edinburgh. We have a rising roll projected to peak at around 1100 within the next four years. We are moving into a new, purpose-built Community Campus, scheduled for completion in Spring 2026.
The leadership team includes the Head Teacher, three Depute Head Teachers, and a Business Manager. The school employs 65 teaching staff and 26 support staff. Our school has demonstrated success, reflected in our attainment over the past five years.
Role Overview
We are seeking a creative and innovative individual to support our pupils within the Business and Computing Faculty as a Teacher of Computing. We encourage applicants to bring their existing skills and experience, as well as new ideas and strategies tailored to our learners. * Salaries are in accordance with the Scheme of Salaries and Conditions of Service for Teaching Staff in School Education.
* This position involves regulated work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The successful candidate will need to join or update their PVG Scheme membership and provide the necessary checks.
* If the candidate has spent three or more months outside the UK in the last five years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required.
