Your Role and Responsibilities
As a SEND Teacher, you will:
* Plan and deliver engaging lessons to small class groups of up to 6 pupils, supported by a Teaching Assistant.
* Assess, monitor, and report on the learning needs and progress of your students.
* Adapt your teaching methods to meet the diverse strengths and needs of your pupils.
* Set high standards that inspire and motivate students to achieve their best.
* Demonstrate strong subject knowledge and participate in preparing learners for external tests.
* Teach across the KS3/KS4 Curriculum and adapt learning for students with SEND.
What We’re Looking For
To thrive in this role, you should have:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a relevant degree.
* Successful teaching experience, particularly in delivering qualifications up to GCSE.
* Experience in Humanities, PE, or vocational subjects is preferred.
* A solid understanding of the National Curriculum and effective teaching strategies.
* The ability to build strong relationships with pupils and adapt teaching to their needs.
* Knowledge of child protection and safeguarding practices.
* Good ICT skills to enhance learning experiences.
