New Directions Education are currently recruiting a Teacher of Food and Nutrition to work in a secondary school in West Kirby. This is an exciting opportunity for a creative and enthusiastic teacher to deliver engaging practical and theoretical lessons within a well-equipped department.
The Role:
• Planning and delivering high-quality Food and Nutrition lessons
• Teaching practical cooking skills alongside food science and nutrition theory
• Ensuring a safe and well-managed practical learning environment
• Assessing, monitoring, and reporting on student progress
• Supporting students in developing key life skills and healthy lifestyle choices
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent UK teaching qualification
• Experience teaching Food and Nutrition or related subjects
• Strong knowledge of health, safety, and food hygiene practices
• Excellent classroom and practical lesson management skills
• A commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil wellbeing
