Sarah McKenna HR are exclusively partnering with Filtronic to recruit a Senior HR Business Partner at an important stage of the organisation's growth. Filtronic is a technically complex engineering business with a strong heritage and clear plans for the future. With around 220 employees and further growth ahead, they continue to invest in their people, their facilities and their People function. This role sits within a collaborative People team, working alongside another HR Business Partner and a Talent Partner, and reporting directly to the Director of HR. It's a supportive, well‑structured team where roles are clear and contribution is valued.
The role: This is a senior, trusted HR Business Partner role supporting leaders and managers across the business. You'll be visible, hands‑on and involved. Supporting day‑to‑day people matters while also contributing to wider work around leadership, culture and performance. This isn't about process for the sake of it. It's about sound judgement, consistency and strong relationships.
What you’ll be involved in
* Partnering with leaders on people decisions, performance and engagement
* Providing practical, fair and consistent HR support across the employee lifecycle
* Coaching and supporting managers through employee relations and change
* Working closely with the wider People team on development, succession and people planning
* Contributing to culture, wellbeing and leadership initiatives
* Using HR systems and people data to improve how things are done
This role will suit an experienced HR Business Partner who:
* Enjoys working as part of a team, not in isolation
* Is confident and credible with managers and senior leaders
* Applies employment law in a sensible, human way
* Likes variety, ownership and being close to the detail
