Qualifications
Essential criteria
1. FRCR or equivalent
2. Full registration with GMC and license to practice.
3. 3 years equivalent IR specialty training or currently in consultant IR position
Desirable criteria
4. Additional degrees, diplomas or postgraduate thesis relevant to the specialty (e.g. EBIR)
5. Certificate of education Training in teaching skills
Experience
Essential criteria
6. Competent in a wide range of vascular and non-vascular Interventional Radiological procedures
7. Ability to apply research outcomes to clinical and surgical problems
8. Ability to teach clinical and operative skills
9. Evidence of a broad training in general radiology and cross-sectional imaging
10. Evidence of additional professional responsibilities at local, regional or national level
Desirable criteria
11. Independent competency in EVAR
12. Previous Consultant level experience
13. Demonstration of participation in service improvement and service development/innovation
