Job Overview
As a multi-skilled Maintenance Assistant, you will work within the "heart of the house" to maintain the iconic Grand Hotel to high standards. Your skills in carpentry, plumbing, and painting & decorating will support the maintenance department in proactive and reactive upkeep of this landmark property.
Responsibilities
1. Perform routine building maintenance duties, including painting, plumbing, carpentry, minor electrical repairs, and systems maintenance.
2. Respond to colleague and guest requests for maintenance assistance.
3. Diagnose and troubleshoot maintenance issues.
4. Complete PPM schedules and checklists.
5. Operate machinery carefully and use chemicals correctly.
6. Contribute to hotel security and compliance.
Ideal Candidate
1. Experience in a similar maintenance role, preferably in a hotel.
2. Painting and decorating skills are a plus.
3. Proactive, positive attitude with the ability to "make things happen".
4. Strong organizational, time management, and communication skills.
5. Flexible approach to work, including shift patterns on weekdays and weekends.
