Job Title: First Team Recruitment Analyst
Stoke City Football Club is seeking a First Team Recruitment Analyst. Reporting to the Head of Recruitment and Head of Scouting Operations, this role supports the first team recruitment department by managing workflows and reporting systems that help identify and monitor players, internal processes, and potential transfer targets. Responsibilities include visualisation and video editing.
The candidate should possess strong knowledge of video editing tools and visualisation software relevant to football analysis. The role requires providing clear and efficient insights to the department.
The position involves working within a multidisciplinary team to develop, maintain, and present advanced reporting, analytics, dashboards, and video presentation packages. A proactive approach to research and industry trends is essential for success.
Key Skills and Experience:
* Practical experience in video analysis and editing, either professionally or academically, with the ability to produce concise player evaluations.
* Ability to analyse player performance and suitability for Stoke City FC using various football metrics and attending live matches.
* Proficiency in presenting and communicating information through various platforms, utilizing data, statistics, and subjective insights.
* Experience in creating, managing, and improving department workflows, with innovative thinking.
* Ability to collaborate across departments and engage stakeholders at different levels.
* Experience with performance analysis platforms such as Hudl SportsCode, Statsbomb, SkillCorner, Wyscout, and telestration software.
* Strong skills in MS Office or equivalent tools like Keynote, Pages, and Numbers.
* Problem-solving skills with agility and innovative thinking.
* Experience with presentation tools like Adobe InDesign, Tableau, Power BI, focusing on clear graphic design.
* Knowledge of professional football principles and practices.
* Previous recruitment experience within professional football.
* Bachelor's or higher degree in Sports Performance Analysis or related field.
The ideal candidate will have a passion for football, excellent communication and organisational skills, and an understanding of confidentiality within the industry. The role is full-time and permanent.
