About Us

At Royston Hospital, we perform a wide range of diagnostic, interventional and surgical procedures. With a long-standing history of serving our community, we are proud to be the number one provider of private surgical services in Hawke's Bay.

We are seeking a motivated and organised Theatre Administration Assistant to join our high-functioning and supportive theatre team at Royston Hospital.

This is an excellent opportunity to work in a fast-paced clinical environment where your administrative expertise will directly support theatre services and patient care.

Working closely with clinical teams and the Theatre Services Manager, you'll play a key role in keeping the theatre suite running smoothly, and your ideas for improving systems and processes will be welcomed.

About The role

Key Responsibilities include:

* Scheduling and documentation to support theatre operations
* Providing comprehensive administrative support to theatre staff
* Coordinating communication across theatre services, hospital departments, and external stakeholders
* Assisting with reporting, data management, and quality assurance activities
* Supporting continuous improvement of administrative systems and processes

This is a permanent position, with negotiable hours for the right candidate, up to 80 hours per fortnight.



Skills And Experiences


About you

You are a confident and capable administrator who enjoys working with people and thrives in a collaborative environment.

You bring:

* Previous administrative experience (healthcare experience an advantage)
* Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
* High-level competence in Excel, Word, and Outlook
* Clear, friendly, and professional communication skills
* A proactive approach, with the confidence to suggest improvements and solutions
* The ability to manage competing priorities in a busy environment
* The right to work in New Zealand (essential)
