The Royal Windsor Racecourse is looking for a motivated, forward-thinking, driven Bar Supervisor to join their team on a casual basis for race days and some small site hire functions and events.
Hospitality / Restaurant Bar Supervisor Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Catering and Retail Manager, you will assist the team in the running of the restaurant and/or hospitality and bar areas.
1. Serve all customers efficiently, professionally, and courteously at all times.
2. Lead by example in all aspects of the business.
3. Develop strong working relationships with guests and staff.
4. Drive to constantly improve the customer experience.
5. Maintain a positive ‘can-do’ attitude.
6. Advise guests and your team on all available products within the venue.
7. Assist in training and developing staff to high standards.
8. Ensure all orders are rung through the tills and payment is obtained in line with Racecourse procedures.
9. Close tills according to company procedures.
10. Keep accurate temperature records and other relevant paperwork.
11. Follow all licensing policies and procedures.
12. Handle cash, stock, and equipment securely.
13. Act as an information point for customers.
14. Record wastage and dispose of rubbish according to venue and recycling policies.
Hospitality / Restaurant Bar Supervisor Criteria:
* Experience in a high-end food and drinks business or restaurant sector is essential.
* Excellent written and spoken English is required to communicate effectively with a diverse range of customers and colleagues.
* Knowledge of licensing, food hygiene, and health & safety standards.
* Experience in cash handling and billing procedures.
* Personal Licence holder (preferred but not essential).
* Customer-focused attitude at all times.
* Good planning and organizational skills.
* Ability to maximize sales opportunities and suggest improvements.
* Ability to drive operational standards, attention to detail, and exceed customer expectations.
* Proficient in IT.
* Work with honesty and integrity.
* Previous hospitality experience is preferred but not essential.
