We're looking for a Civil Engineer Student to joinour Natural Resources, Nuclear and Networks team based in Plymouth for a Summer Placement. fYou will be working on our Devonport Dockyard project which is a part of the the Nuclear SectorOur Natural Resources, Nuclear and Networks division provide design, build and maintenance solutions to protect the UK's essential services and assets. Working across the water, nuclear and otherdecarbonised energy, environmental and waterways sectors, we provide sustainable and safe solutions for our clients and customers whilst protecting and restoring natural habitats https:\/\/www.kier.co.uk\/who-we-are\/our-business-divisions\/This is a fantastic opportunity to join a leading construction and infrastructure services company on our placement programme. These programmes have been designed to provide you with the experiences and tools needed for progression within your chosen career.Location:Plymouth, DevonStarting Salary:per annumPathway:Weekshrs per weekStarting date:fJuly 2026We are unable to offer certificates of sponsorship to any candidates in this role.What will you be responsible for?As a Summer Placement Civil Engineer,fyou'llfbe working within the Nuclear team assistingfin the planning & coordination, design & management of the project and on-site activities. This role offers a fantasticopportunity to gain hands-on experience, receive mentorship from experienced professionals, and developstrong foundationfin quantity surveying.Whatfwill your day-to-day duties include?Assisting in the planning, execution, and management of projects relevant to your field of study.Collaborating with team members and stakeholders to support project objectives.Conducting research and analysis to inform project decisions and strategies.Preparing reports, presentations, and documentation related to project activities.Participating in team meetings and contribute to problem-solving and decision-making processes.How does a placement work?Kier isfcommitted to encouraging talent and providing opportunities for growth and development.When you join, you will be enrolled onto our summer placement scheme.
