Cost Manager (Consultancy) Client An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Cost Manager to join an established client within their growing Cost Management Team. The organisation operates across a broad range of real estate sectors including residential (both private and public), education (universities), retail, government and more, delivering ambitious and high-profile projects across the built environment. The Ideal Person The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following: Experience Proven technical delivery experience within cost management Demonstrable experience managing your own projects within similar real estate sectors Previous experience in a Cost Manager role within a consultancy environment Employer's Agent experience is desirable Client-facing experience with a strong focus on high-quality technical delivery Confident stakeholder management with an emphasis on developing strong client relationships Qualifications Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or a similar technical discipline (RICS accredited) Currently studying toward RICS chartership or another relevant professional body Behaviours Recognised as a client-focused, positive collaborator who shares knowledge and supports colleagues A strong team player with a willingness to learn and develop Proactive, positive and committed to delivering customer service excellence alongside strong commercial outcomes Responsibilities As a Cost Manager, you will be an integral part of a team accountable for the commercial and contractual performance of projects, with responsibilities including: Proactively managing project costs from early design stages through to completion Operating processes for the selection, appointment and management of construction and engineering contractors Involvement in all aspects of cost planning Preparation of indicative cost budgets and appraisals Providing advice on procurement strategies Preparing and issuing tender documentation Delivering pre- and post-contract quantity surveying services Working collaboratively with clients, stakeholders and internal teams to ensure successful project outcomes Remuneration & Benefits Salary up to £40,000 per annum Hybrid working arrangement with two days in the office and three days from home Serviced office environment 5% matched pension contribution Private medical insurance Private dental insurance Birthday leave Car allowance for Senior level and above (£5,000 per year) Option to purchase up to five additional days of annual leave per year Opportunity to purchase discounted company shares Competitive holiday entitlement Continuous learning and development programme, including APC and mentoring schemes Professional membership subscriptions Season ticket loan Gym membership and cycle-to-work schemes Team, social, charity fundraising and volunteering events For further information on this vacancy, or to discuss other Built Environment roles in Belfast or across Northern Ireland, please apply via the link provided or contact Dan Orr in the strictest confidence.
