The Opportunity This role requires a proactive and detail-oriented individual to ensure materials are sourced efficiently, delivered on time, and managed within budget. You will work closely with commercial, production, and site teams to support projects, streamline ordering processes, and provide mentoring to junior team members where required. The Role Maintain and develop key supplier relationships to ensure the business can source the most suitable and cost-effective materials Place material requests with suppliers in line with workflow demands Distribute daily order sheets to relevant contacts to increase efficiency and send daily order reminders to site teams Provide up-to-date ETAs to site teams, following up and making amendments where required Liaise with commercial and production teams to ensure materials are delivered within required timeframes Arrange collection of items from sites (e.g., muck-away, haulage, tarmac, concrete) Arrange site-to-site transport with the Plant department Support project mobilisations and site starts Assist in the training and mentoring of Trainee and Assistant Buyers The Successful Applicant Meet the qualifications and experience requirements outlined above Be organised, proactive, and able to manage multiple sourcing and delivery tasks efficiently Demonstrate strong communication and relationship-building skills with suppliers, site teams, and colleagues Be commercially minded, with attention to detail and the ability to work effectively across teams Apply now or contact Tirebuck Recruitment for further information.
