Salary: Grade 7 : pro:rata to A GBP 16,491 to A GBP 19,673.55 per annum depending on experience
Hours: Permanent, part:time (17.5 hours per week)

The RAU Archive and Special Collections is a distinct and important part of the Royal Agricultural Universitys institutional memory, which enhances the Universitys reputation and raises its profile. The preservation of this resource and the provision of appropriate access is central to our internal and external identity. A key aspect of the Archivists role will be to raise the visibility and profile of the Archives and special collections by showcasing them highlighting their value and engaging with stakeholders to promote the service, as well as managing the Archive and Special Collections themselves.
The Role
This role will report to the Library and Archives Manager, whose team forms part of the Innovation and Learning directorate.
Skills and Qualifications
The successful applicant will have experience in an archive role, with knowledge of cataloguing, copyright, GDPR and intellectual property rights. They will be committed to maximising discovery and access to archives material and have experience of critically appraising and acquiring/rejecting material for collections. While not essential, experience of working in Higher Education will be an advantage. As this role handles enquiries and communicates with stakeholders, the role holder will need to be able to provide an excellent level of customer service.
