Your new companyYou will be joining a well-established business based in Loughborough, working within a fastened and busy stores environment. The setup is similar to a Screwfix-style trade counter, supporting contractors, engineers and internal teams with materials, tools and stock.Your new roleAs a Stores Person, you will be responsible for managing stock levels, booking deliveries, issuing materials, and keeping the stores organised and running smoothly.Key duties include:
* Serving contractors and colleagues at the trade counter
* Booking in deliveries and updating stock records
* Picking and preparing requests
* Conducting stock checks and reporting discrepancies
* Liaising with suppliers regarding orders and returns
* Maintaining a clean, safe and well-organised storeroom
* General stores support as required
This role is Monday to Friday, 8am-5pmPay: £13.38-£16.38 per hour via PAYE or Umbrella (CIS not accepted).The position is temporary to permanent following a successful interview after 12 weeks.Start date:15th AprilWhat you'll need to succeed
* Previous experience in a store, warehouse, stock control or trade counter environment is desirable, though not essential.
* Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
* Confident communicating with contractors, suppliers and colleagues
* Ability to work in a busy, fast-paced environment
* Reliable, proactive and able to manage your own workload
