A key responsibility of the Senior Battery Quality Engineer will be ensuring that manufacturing processes and systems produce battery packs that meet and exceed customer quality standards, delivering a Modern Luxury experience throughout the vehicle's lifespan.
Please note that initially, this role will be based at EPMC, Wolverhampton, as part of the electrification transition, and later at our site in Whitley, Coventry.
What to Expect
* Lead a team of JLR and Purchased Services process engineers, managing resources to meet quality objectives and project deadlines.
* Opportunity for periodic overseas travel to collaborate with leading technology suppliers.

* Support delivery of robust battery manufacturing quality systems, focusing on end-to-end coherence across sub-systems (Pack, Stack, Frame, BEM).
* Lead development of DFMEA, PFMEAs, Control Plans, and related documentation.
* Support deployment of Manufacturing Engineering Lessons Learned for battery components.
* Ensure smooth handover of quality systems and documentation to the Plant at Job 1.
* Collaborate cross-functionally to improve internal quality processes to meet IATF standards and achieve world-class quality.
* Benchmark manufacturing systems and work with stakeholders to establish and embed class-leading quality practices.
What You'll Need
* Passion for JLR quality, motivated to deliver excellence in Modern Luxury.
* Experience with DFMEA, PFMEAs, Control Plans, and related documentation; familiarity with Byteworx and Reliasoft is advantageous.
* Good understanding of engineering, including review of engineering drawings (GD&T knowledge).
* Experience in a manufacturing operations environment.
* Appreciation of battery pack architecture and manufacturing processes.
